Could´n be more disappointed on any…

Could´n be more disappointed on any company then Orion.
They might know Optics but not marketing, customer service and updating with right information about shipping.
I´m really glad I made the payment through PayPal and they will give me my money back!

Update to my review

Orion has decided after shipping my item to finally call ups and have the item returned to sender before it reached me and then charged me for the item 4 days later!... So now not only did they finally cancel my order but also charge me for it AFTER they have it going back to them so I won't get the telescope for my son and they have only now taken payment for goods that they have no intention of supplying... AWESOME WAY TO LOOSE ALL YOUR FUTURE BUSINESS, WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS! Here's a screen shot of the order I called to cancel on the 23rd taken of ups tracking on the 28th when they decided to charge me for the item after they called ups to have it returned on the 24th... Not sure how stupid they have to be to do something like that!I ordered a telescope on the website at 11pm and made a mistake so I called them first thing the next morning to cancel so I could order another that cost twice as much. I was told at 9am that it had already shipped but they don't get pick ups until 10am so the customer service person was confused. I explained all I wanted to do was cancel the order to reorder a different item and save us all a big hassle, she apologies and said nothing could be done. I recieved an email about 6 hrs later saying my order was ready to ship and I would get another email when it shipped and if any issues cal immediately. I called the next morning to a rude lady saying it shipped, I asked for tracking and she gave it to me. The tracking number had been entered a half hour after I had spoke with customer service to originally cancel my order so it could have been canceled before shipping but they didn't bother so now I get to wait for it to arrive just to return it when ot NEVER had to be shipped in the first place and will be placing my reorder woth a different company since their customer service SUCKS, attitude SUCKS and my son and I have now had our first and last experience with this company!... They could have handled it correctly but decided to jerk me around before my item even shipped let alone arrived... I'm almost tempted to not bother at all since this is my first and maybe last experience in a new hobby... They are a JOKE!

Orion telescopes and binoculars, no buy

When a company sends a camera back to you with damage they did intentionally while in the warranty period... who would buy from them! And here is the proof. It looks like they tried fixing it then got frustrated, it really looks like a child did it, unbelievable!
Be sure to check other reviews from other sites... you need to know what you're looking for... ie not the "paid for positive reviews"

Maybe I was a bit hasty!

So the delivery was a bit longer than I expected but the ORION EON 115mm APO is mind blowing. I was originally thinking of getting the 130mm but the 115mm is amazing. Sturdy, fantastic optics and works very well for astrophotography. There is a professional finish to it that is very rare for the price. I'm gutted it's a Christmas present for someone else..........

No repair after warranty

I was generally satisfied with my telescope, but at some moment kids dropped it and damaged the mount. It's just one part cracked, and I expected that repair was possible. I tried to contact the company, but they basically ignored my letter and did not suggest any options to repair or replace the broken part.

ORION STARBLAST II - BUY WITH CONFIDENCE

I bought an Orion StarBlast II 4.5 telescope. This is a fantastic telescope especially for a beginner. Crisp, clear images. I'm a beginner and look forward to growing into this telescope without the fear of growing out of it too quickly. I've read many reviews that fault this telescope only for its equatorial mount as not being for beginners. This makes no sense whatsoever. No matter when you buy a telescope with an equatorial mount you'll be a beginner with an equatorial mount! You may as well get one on a great first telescope. Orion has done a splendid job with this telescope. Buy it with the utmost confidence!

I purchased an Orion mount through one…

I purchased an Orion mount through one of their retailers (OPT) . The mount was supposed to be shipped out in April then got delayed to May, then to June, then to July and now they're telling me they won't ship it until September (if they'll ever ship it out... And I was already charged for it as well) . Apparently they have been prioritizing orders made directly through their website instead of distributing to their official retailers so people that have ordered after I placed my order got their mount while I'm still waiting for it.
This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had regarding astrophotography.

Purchased the XT10 dobsonian

Purchased the XT10 dobsonian, and what a telescope. Customs tried to charge an import, which was sorted by John at their end. Can't ask for more and very happy with the service

Excellent Skyquest XT6 Plus Dobsonian

A newbie to astronomy, I settled on an Orion Dobsonian after a lot of research. The pandemic and our ridiculous exit from Europe made importing from the Netherlands a real headache. The reason for the dropped star is the very muddled customer service from Orion in the States which made the transaction even more of a hassle! After eventually getting the scope, I have to say I’m very impressed. Very well packaged, easy to assemble and a joy to use. For the price it’s at the top of the league. Now, please, can I have some clear skies?
